RELAXATION, THERAPEUTIC & HOT STONE

Whether you need to relax after a busy or stressful day at work, find relief from muscle aches and pains or wish to float away to another realm, Ameliorate can enhance your health by facilitating your body’s natural healing through massage therapy.

A relaxation massage is a gentle form of massage that assists your body to relax and your mind to unwind.

A Therapeutic/Deep tissue/Remedial massage focuses on specific areas to help to provide relief to those muscular aches and pains and can help to increase movement through the use of deeper massage techniques.

Hot Stone massage combines relaxation massage techniques with heated stones. The stones are placed on certain parts of your body and also used as part of the massage sequence.

Reiki can help your bodies energy system to re-balance, cleanse and renew by channeling healing energy to the areas of your body in which healing is needed. This hands-on technique can provide healing on a holistic level that encompasses mind, body, and soul, enhancing your personal well-being.Reiki energy healing can be combined with the massage style of your choice to help you feel amazing!

level one

Reiki Training

cost - $200

At this level, a student goes through an attunement process in which their energy systems are opened, allowing the student to be able to channel Reiki energy. The attunement process enables Reiki energy to enter our body and mind through the crown chakra through to the base charka. A Chakra is a rotating centre of energy. There are 7 major chakras running down the centre of the body – crown, third eye, throat, heart, solar plexus, sacral, base. Each chakra carries different quality of energy and has a specific function that relates to body and mind. In this workshop the student is shown how to use Reiki to heal themselves and others. Testimonial from previous student ‘When I originally went for my Reiki 1 training, I must admit I was pretty skeptical. How wrong I was. Reiki has become a part of my life in the years since. How beautiful a gift it is to be able to heal yourself, others and animals. I would recommend it highly to all. level TWO

Reiki Training

cost - $200

Reiki students are taught 3 Reiki symbols which can be used to further enhance Reiki treatments. The student is also taught how to conduct distant healing. The Reiki energy intensifies with this attunement.

The 2 remaining symbols are provided to the student, which include the Reiki Master symbol. As with Level Two, the Advance stage of Reiki increases the level of Reiki energy for the student.

The Master level is for those who wish to teach Reiki to others. This level involves being taught how to attune others and teach the different levels of Reiki.

Emma Sutherland has been working as a massage therapist and Reiki practitioner since 2006 when she established her business Ameliorate from her passion to enhance lives naturally. The name Ameliorate reflects this in its meaning – to make or become better.

Qualified in Therapeutic/remedial/deep tissue massage, relaxation massage and hot stone massage, Emma is able to intuitively adjust her massage style to suit your bodies needs.

Emma also offers Reiki energy healing which can be incorporated with massage to provide a holistic healing treatment.

As a Reiki master/trainer, Emma regularly organizes Reiki training workshops in Golden Bay and continues to offer ongoing mentoring to her previous students.
